We bought two longhorns.
And, now we want more cows.
in October 2024, our family added two longhorns to Grandpa’s place AKA the spot we are calling Unbuttoned Farms.
We’re raising these two as an ‘experiment’ because
we know our community wants more
lovingly raised beef at a price that feels right.
We also believe that if you take good care of your animals,
they will take good care of you.
We want to feel good about what we are putting
in our bodies and selling to others.
We can’t say what the future holds for us and our cows, but we feel a stir in our hearts to create a small herd of Dexter cattle in the coming months.
In our dreams, we imagine rotational grazing, docile cows joining us near the plover at times, and opportunities for the kids to learn how to work around livestock.
