Ten acres, a few cattle, and a lot of heart in Holland, Michigan.
April 2025: We got married at the Holland courthouse in muck boots and bought our first starter herd of Dexter Cattle from a kismet internet interaction a few days later.
In September, 2026 with support from family, friends and neighbors we fundraised land rent for 10 acres (paid in full!) for 2026-$1600 or so!
We're new to farming, learning each day as we raise Dexter cattle, longhorns, rabbits, kittens, and our family.
This land is our classroom, our therapy, and our best teacher.
Unbuttoned isn’t just for us -it’s for anyone curious about slowing down, connecting, or getting their hands a little dirty.
You don’t have to own land to benefit from what land offers.
We host small visits, collaborations, photo days, photoshoots, community workdays, movie nights in the woods, events with children present, events for adults only- part learning, part play, part quiet time with animals.
You can find us outside, online, or somewhere in between.
